Dear Ng, Is alright for a start. Monitor for about a month or two n c how many coming back to stay in the house in the evening. If no bird, then you should do something.

Hi Ng,
Why not u count the qty of bird that fly in and never come out i.e. from 7pm to 7.45pm. Also, check every week, see any increase of bird by counting of the bird drops (nuts).
If u feel that the qty of bird reducing, then probably u may also need to modify something in house i.e. partitioning and also temperature. Try to go in your house at night (on sunny/hot day) to check the temperature. Sometimes, the heat release at night. That is why , the bird don't like.
last but not least and if you don't mind, can i have a your sound (external & internal), i would test it in my bird house. any problem, feel free write to me, we discuss and find out together.

Dear Ng,
Do not worry. Is too early to tell. Plus now is summer ( at most state). Normally summer season there are no birds or very few if at a successful farm. Wait until the season is over and monitor to gather facts. If by May-June, your farm still face the same situation, then you have to seriously checked out what is the real problem of your farm. Sometime it may not be your sound problem. It may be your design, your construction, your placement of tweeter and its quality, player quality, wire quality and the way it been connected and etc.. Changing the CD sound maybe your first step, but if it still does not help much, then it may be other problem as stated above. Hope this helps.

Hi All Sifus, Thank you for all the advise, really appreciate that, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very Happy New Year, full house all the time (I mean swiftlet lah...) !
I would like to confirm one more thing, will that be good to apply the so call special aroma liquid to my BH while waiting to see the result ? Will this help ? I have read through some blog, the consultant did mention his special additive aroma liquid work well for most of the BH, worth a try ?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! May this Tiger year will all of us the best of lucks and SWIFTLET!
Aroma, for new house it work for me. Not many people believe it including myself. My first house did not use anything, after 4 1/2 years I only have less than 100 nest.
My second one, I really used the aroma every month and until today ( 26 months) I have almost 300 nest.
Of course, other factor do play important effect also.
OK la..dont talk about house, its new year and all of us should relax and enjoy this new year.
Gong Xi Fa Chai to everyone.

After a mth of waiting, do the bird count, still Zero bird enter and stayed, I have changed few sounds and it seems still ineffective no doubt that area has many birds flying around ! I have now widen up the entrance from 2ft X 3 ft to 4ft X 3 ft (vertical), reduce the roving from 30ft L X 18ft width X 22ft H to now 15ft L X 18ft Width X 22 ft H/12ftH two sections. I have also installed some partitioning at nestling area to reduce the brightness. Can someone shed some light here what else can I do to attract those precious bird to enter (one mth old BH) ? Appreciate the comment. Thank you.

After the last modification, any improvement? Pls make sure no air flow (wind) within building & no surround sound effect. surround (echo) sound meaning that bird couldn't find the location of inner entrance hole or speaker.

I guess my issue is too little qty of Bird come to play at entrance hole, the modification look okay and the partition in nestling serve the purpose to reduce the brightness without interferring the flying path. I try many sound in my collection library, it seems not so effective, I am using two "cheap" amplifier, will that be a potential problem to my Bird House ?

Just went and check the latest status, it seems NOW quite many birds circulating and enter the BH (but not sure it stays or not), my conclusion is weather play a major role to define the qty of bird circulating new BH, now the raining season seems to be started earlier. Of course the Bird sound did play certain portion of it as I have tested many and choose the best one to be used, now I have to be patience, wait and see after two more mths to judge whether anymore modification needed, probably I will need to check the tweeter placement at internal entrance to further pull the bird further into the nestling.

yup... agree with u. the respond won't be like making coffee... one moment sparkling water, next is already black. guess it needs a lot of patience to be successful. sounds like the swiftlets likes ur BH already... hehe... cheers.

Hi Ng69, cheap amplifier no problem but nice speaker do give some effect. In fact, u can chk the qty of bird staying in your BH. probably make it, every two weeks until things is settle down. Setting the speaker at the right position at the each entrance hole is important. Weather do play an important role here. different location do need different sound i.e. due to competition. pls feel free to call me for further discussion.
