hello every body,
Just registered. I'm planning to build a new BH somewhere in Perak. I've trying to find reference and information regarding accessing/testing a new site. unfortunately dont have much success. Hope you guys can help me out.
Is there a way to test a site ? I've heard people using swiftlet call in the open area and observe the response from the birds. so the question are:
1. when is the best time (am/pm/hours) to conduct the test?
2. any specific response from the bird to observe? probably the numbers of birds etc.
3. best weather to do the test?
hope someone can help me out. thanks in advance.

Test it before 9am. if possible, by noon and 3pm too.
count the bird, if more than 100hundreds, ok.
any kind of weather BUT not raining.

hello, thanks for the reply. I've collected few opinions regarding this subject. in general it is advice able to do the test once in the morning and one in the afternoon.
is there any reason why we want to avoid rainy days? i though birds are plenty during rainy days.

Any successfull bh around your site? If there is , find out how many nests the bh have...by knowing amount of nest...you can know the prosper of your site

why not everyone just list down the sound u have, then is easier to decide what to exchange or purchase
